Chalice and its paten in solid gilt silver by Amédée Cateland (successor of Armand-Caillat), Lyon around 1950. Neo-Romanesque style chalice worked with a hammered effect. The refined decor gives way to a search for a balance of forms. The base is decorated with the ivory Cross. The ivory node depicts the crown of thorns and the paten is also decorated with the ivory Cross and is engraved with the inscription "QUIS UT DEUS". Slight micro-scratches inside the cup and very slight wear to the vermeil, otherwise perfect condition, sold with its transport case. Dimensions: height 6,1 inch, diameter of the cup 5,24 inch, diameter of the paten 6,22 inch. Weight: 895 grams.
