Monstrance in solid silver by Demarquet Frères, Paris, late 19th century. Rare neo-Gothic style model in perfect condition, coming with its original lunula in solid gilt silver. The hexafoiled base is engraved with stylized foliage and bordered by a frieze of silver pearls, the node is divided into six parts terminated by cabochons imitating stones. The glory represents the spire of a cathedral with its Gothic windows, flying buttresses, pinnacles. Two angels sculpted in round work collect on either side of the lunula. Magnificent work produced by a great Parisian silversmith specializing in liturgical silversmith’s trade. Sold without transport case.
