Monstrance and its lunula in solid gilt silver by Jean-Alexandre Chertier, Paris 1857-1890. The base is adorned with six painted porcelain medallions depicting the Pelican feeding her young, the Hive, the Agnus-Dei, the Sacred Fire, the Stag and the Ark of the Covenant. The node is also decorated with six painted porcelain medallions representing the Sacred Heart, Saint Peter, Saint Joseph and the Child, Saint Paul, the Blessed Virgin and Saint Vincent de Paul. The sunburst is openwork on a blue background, decorated with angels and cut amethyst-colored glasses. The inscription "ECCE PANIS ANGELORUM FACTUS CIBUS VIATORUM" is also present. Rare and beautiful neo-renaissance style model in perfect condition, only the plate covered with blue paint under the openwork sunburst part is in gilded bronze and marked with the silversmith hallmark, sold without a transport case.
