Monstrance of Our Lady of Lourdes in solid gilt silver by Paul Brunet, Paris, arround 1900. The domed shape base rests on four foliage patterns feet. A decoration of stylized dolphins adorns the base, as well as four champleve enamels forming a rosette. An enameled engraving is inscribed on it “QUE VOTRE REGNE ARRIVE”. The hand hold is formed by an ivory statuette of Our Lady of Lourdes resting on a column inspired by the style of the Tuscan order. At the base of this, an added ring composed of two antiques diamonds (about 0.7 carats) and a beautiful white opal. The up part of the monstrance takes up the decorations of stylized dolphins and is organized into four large flames. An enameled frieze decorated with red roses on a white background and blue grid pattern as well as the white enameled inscription "POUR LA GLOIRE DE L’ADORABLE TRINITE CŒUR EUCHARISTIQUE DE JESUS PAR MARIE IMMACULEE" rhythm the round of the glazed part, which is also decorated of jewelry and diamonds. The cross at the top is also adorned with a jewel and set with pearls and turquoise stones. Rare model in perfect condition, sold with its solid gilt silver lunette box engraved with Chi-Rho and its transport case. Dimensions: height 27,56 inch, width 13,78 inch, diameter of the lunette 3,54 inch. Weight: 2727 grams. The monstrance being manufactured before 1947 and comprising less than 20% of worked ivory, is not subject to CITES declaration (article 2 bis §1 de l’AM).
