Chalice and its paten in neo-Gothic style in solid silver gilt by Demarquet Frères, Paris around 1880. The hexafoiled base is decorated with enamels, turquoises and filigrees. The node is divided into six cabochons set closed with cut glass. The largely openwork cup takes up the decoration of the filigrees of the base. The paten, engraved with stylized foliage, is adorned with a central enamel depicting the Last Supper. Slight lack of enamel on the cross and to an enamel on the base, gilding of the cup still dignified but worn, tiny shock on the outer edge of the base, otherwise in perfect condition (see photos), sold in its transport case. Dimensions: height 10,43 inch, diameter of the cup 4,06 inch, diameter of the paten 5,94 inch. Weight: 777 grams.
